Bangkok, just before COVID-19
When I arrived in Bangkok, the streets were still teeming with life and adventure. There had only been a few cases of COVID-19 in the country and the lockdown sounded like a remote option. A few weeks later, the government declared a state of emergency. Malls, restaurants, temples, and other public venues were ordered to close. The use of face mask became mandatory and social distancing measures were implemented everywhere.
