Fighting climate change
Protests against climate change have been spreading across Europe in the last few years. People ask European governments concrete political actions against environmental issues, such as a more equitable distribution of the costs and benefits of climate transition, strict application of “the polluter pays” principle, more affordable green energy, a reduction of flights, and enough good green jobs.
I took some of the photos composing this series at the climate march of 10th March 2019 in Amsterdam. With 40,000 participants, it was the largest climate march ever in the Netherlands. Other photos were taken at the die-in that Extinction Rebellion, a socio-political movement fighting climate change, organized at Schipol airport on 7th September 2019. Part of this series was published by the Dutch magazine 31mag.
